In most projects, there's a point where the design is well along and the homeowner asks what it will cost to build. It's a fair question, and a hard one to hand back — designing a home and pricing its construction are different crafts — and the work often stalls there until the owner has a number they trust.

The usual way to get one is to send unfinished drawings to a handful of contractors for preliminary bids and wait for figures that rarely agree. Our preconstruction system replaces that. We price the project on the drawings as they stand, with the assumptions and open questions laid out on paper instead of buried in a lump sum — so the owner gets a real basis for cost, and the design keeps moving without you having to become the estimator.
